Opera House & Botanic Gardens Walk from Circular Quay to Sydney’s cultural heart and most famous landmark, the Opera House. The Opera House was opened by the Queen in 1973 and showcases sweeping sails, which are the main feature of the architecture. Palm forests, gardens, sculpture, ponds and exotic plants are enjoyed by both visitors and wildlife in the Royal Botanic Gardens. There is also a restaurant, cafe and book/gift shop.

Taronga Zoo See an array of Australian and exotic animals as you stroll through settings evoking their natural habitats. Informative keeper talks, shows and feedings take place throughout the day. Fort Denison The Martello tower, on the rock, in the middle of Sydney Harbour. A great photo stop. Fort Denison was built to defend Sydney against a possible attack by Russian warships. The island was also used to imprison criminals who arrived on the First Fleet. While on the island you can join a guided tour* or stay for lunch at the island cafe. *Guided tours additional cost.
